It is the responsibility of the customer to provide
full and useful contact details including telephone numbers.
The customer needs to provide a delivery address that
is staffed within office hours so that they can receive
the delivery. It is VERY UNLIKELY that the courier will ring ahead and
for someone who lives near by to come and open the church. It is sometimes possible that the driver can report to an address next door or on the
same street and then be directed to the collection address. In such
cases, please consider whether it would be easier to deliver to the
next door / near by address if it is going to be staffed for longer.
Please remember - you are dealing with couriers!
Similarly, it is the responsibility of the hirer to
ensure that the baptistry is packed ready and handed over to the courier.
If couriers have to return for missed collection, the hirer will be
liable for the surcharge issued by the courier. Should the customer
not return the baptistry in time for its dispatch to another customer
(i.e. to be with Baptistry UK by 9am Thursday) , the customer shall
be liable for a second hire fee.
When repacking the baptistry and equipment, please pack to protect. The goods will be subject to rough handling in transit

Whilst BaptistryUK will endevour to deliver a baptistry,
they can not be held responsible for delays or non-deliveries due to
factors beyond their control.
BaptistryUK reserve the right to end a hire at any point
prior to the delivery of the baptistry. In such cases we would endevour
to give at least 14 days notice.
At the end of the hire period BaptistryUK (or the customer
if they prefer) will arrange with couriers for the collection of the
baptistry. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the
baptistry and equipment are ready for collection and that they are handed
to the courier.

What we need
Prior to manufacture / delivery
- A written order on headed paper specifying the model of pool to be supplied. The order should give a contact name and telephone number for technical queries relating to the bath or pool and any installation.
- Any modifications need to be stipulated. Colour will be pale blue unless stated otherwise. Pools will be supplied with or without a standard waste but without taps.
- Any modifications to standard models must be accompanied by a scale drawing, preferably in AutoCAD, detailing the shape, size and specification of the bath and any modifications. We will build to those specifications. Any abortive work caused by a change in specifications or any omssion in the specifications once an order has been placed will be chargeable to the client .
- If a colour other than pale blue is to be chosen, of if the precise shade of blue is an issue, then please allow additional time for the agreement of colours or agree prior to ordering.
- Stone effects. The stone colour range is for guidance only, please ensure that you have read 'Things to Know'. As we do not carry a stock of the stone effects, please be aware that you may be asked to pay for the stone effect chippings up front.
- All orders are only confirmed by written order AND a 10% deposit.
- Any changes to agreed specifications will require a new estimate of costs.
Collection / Delivery
- Upon completion of the manufacture the customer will be informed that the pool is ready for collection. Full payment is required prior to release.
- Customers should allow at least 8 weeks (40 working days) between the receipt of order and the pool being ready for collection. Additional and unavoidable delays will also occur in August as this is the holiday period for many businesses and suppliers. Other holiday periods such as Christmas and Easter can also introduce delays.
- If the customer would like us to arrange delivery, they should inform us in writing enclosing a full delivery address, including postcode, along with any site-specific directions or contact names and numbers. Costs will be calculated at the time of delivery. Carrier costs are beyond the control of BaptistryUK and may change without notice. It is up to the customer to ensure any insurance in addition to the standard insurance (if present) offered by the carrier.
If installation is also required:
- We will require written instructions, accompanied by scaled drawing, preferably in AutoCAD format, of the point of installation and the water supply / wastes to be connected to. Any specific requirements, issues or warnings must be given. These need to be provided early in the design / manufacture process so that any installation issues which have implications for the design can be discussed.
- We will need the site to be clear of obstruction and for a smooth and level surface on which to fit the pool. Easy access for the pool needs to be possible to the room or site where the pool is to be installed. It would be wise to ensure that lifts and doors are wide enough. Access for our staff or subcontractors must be possible throughout the period of installation.
- Electricity must be available on site at the point of installation for the duration of the installation.
- Water services and waste soil stacks or waste gulleys must be present for the baptistry to plumbed to. BaptistryUK will require the details of any pipe work to be connected to (for example, diameter of piping, distance to piping) prior to installation. Costings are for connecting the baptistry, not for laying lengths of additional piping to water supplies or soil stacks at a distance from the baptistry.
- The hot water feed used to supply hot water to the pool should be regulated by a thermostatic valve. BaptistryUK will not fit a thermostatic control.
- BaptistryUK will install the pool to connect to water supply and to the waste. BaptistryUK will not undertake any work to surrounding fittings such as floor coverings, supporting joinery, any electrical work, or any other plumbing not directly related to the bath.
- BaptistryUK will not check the structural strength of the floor. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the floor is strong enough to take the baptistry in use.
- All installations of an BaptistryUK baptistry purchased immediately before from BaptistryUK will be charged for at an Installation rate. Any work outside the installation not arising from our workmanship will be charged for at our Standard rate.
- Installation will commence within 20 working days of the order being ready for collection assuming no delay in the arrival of the bath on site. Early installation may be possible but will be chargeable at the Standard rate.
- Any factor beyond the control of BaptistryUK which prolongs the period of installation will be chargeable at the charging rate being applied (Installation Rate or Standard Rate).
What we do / do not do.
BaptistryUK will install the pool. This includes fixing the bath in place and connecting it to a previously agreed soil stack, gulley or other waste. If previously agreed, we will also connect taps to previously installed pipework.
We do not undertake any work on: floor coverings; any electrical work; any plastering; joinery or other plumbing other than that specifically connected to the installation of the bath as outlined above.
Manufacturer’s warranty. The pool (excluding taps and fittings, which will have separate warranties via their manufacturer) is guaranteed for workmanship and materials for a period of 2 years when used correctly.
Where iInstallation is undertaken by a sub-contractor and not by BaptistryUK, any installation warranty will come from the sub-contractor, not BaptistryUK.
