Baptistry Sales
We sell two types of baptistries ~ flat-pack portable baptistries, and installed permanent baptistries.
The information below is for the two most common patterns or shapes we are asked for and which we refer to as the Elim and the Jordan. These can be customised to suit your needs, such as a change in dimension. We can also build a baptismal tank to a completely different shape.
The great advantage of GRP (fibreglass) is its endurance to give many years of use with next to no maintenance.

The Jordan
This pool is designed to give a roomy and flexible baptistry at a reasonable price for a fibreglass pool. It consists of a 'tank' with the stairs as a separate unit that clips into place. This bath is sometimes called the '10 by 5 by 4', which refers to its internal dimensions in feet. The advantage of having the steps as a separate unit is that of cost-saving: a similar pool with integrated steps would cost nearly £7000, this one costs just £5200 with the steps.

The Elim
This design is the one most commonly requested ~ a rectangular pool with integral steps at one end. The steps can be half or whole width. The internal dimensions of the Elim are usually 3.3m (11') long, 1.5 (5') wide and 1.2m (4') deep. However, it is very easy to change these dimensions and we can make to your preferred size.
Buy ~ £6900 for the sizes outlined above. |

Reinforced Lids
So that the area can be utilized when the baptistry is not in use.
Reinforced with timber or square-section stainless steel tube where the width of the baptistry requires it. Whilst wood is cheaper, these do not bend, do not rot and do not warp - they are far more durable.
We can supply then with handholes or sunken threads to take eyebolts which enable the lids to be lifted out. Carpet tiles can be affixed to the back of them.
Prices range from £1150 to £1950 depending on the size of baptistry. |
Make your own permanent pool.
If cost is a major constraint and you need a sunken baptistry rather than a dismountable flat pack baptistry, then we have flatpack kits for making large permanent baptistry tanks to go in the ground. The kits comprise sturdy bolt-together GRP base and side panels, a step unit and a thick vinyl liner which then adheres to the sides of the tank to form the water holding element. The additional advantage is that you can choose from a wide range of pattern pool vinyls from plain blue to mosaics. Dimensions can vary, though 2700mm long, 900 deep and 1200mm wide is the 'default'. This is also a useful way of getting a pool into rooms or locations with restricted access. |
...and if that doesn't work
Direct Lining.
This is where measurements of your pool are made and we fabricate sheets of GRP to size and a step unit and then turn up on site and directly attach sheets of GRP to the blockwork or concrete walls of your baptistry. The joins are sealed with additional layers of GRP and the step unit is fixed in place. The final product, whilst not as polsihed a mould-made one-piece baptistry. This is more suited to pools where access to the site is restricted or where the existing pool pit is small or is a complicated shape. |
