The Hire Packages

The hire is for: a baptistry; pipes for filling and emptying; an electric pump for emptying; insulating cover and steps for getting in & out. Full instructions are also enclosed.

Water heaters can be hired or bought. They are £30 if hired with the baptistry, £50+carriage if hired separately, or £464 to buy.

Customers can collect from / return to our depot in Bradford (and save on transport costs). Or the baptistries can be sent by courier. In the North of England area, the baptistries can be delivered and set up by Baptistry UK staff as part of a set-up and dismantle service.

Delivery / collection is normally by courier. Please note, the circular pool is delivered on a pallet and has its own scale of tarrifs, it is suitable for local and customer collection hires.

'Standard' ~ The courier company generally make the delivery / collection on the stated day. As they are not able to give a precise time of arrival, the church or premises will need to be staffed to receive / return the baptistry. It is possible to specify a 'before 12 noon' delivery at an additional cost. It is sometimes possible to contact the local depots on the day of delivery to ascertain a narrower time frame. (The hexagonal baptistries can be fitted into a car and the nonagon will fit in an estate or 'people carrier'. So, if a church is not staffed, it is possible to deliver / collect to / from a home address if someone will be in all day there. The baptistry could then be moved to and from the church by the customer.)

'Economy' Tariff ~ It is only suitable for churches or premises that are routinely staffed Monday-Friday all day during office hours (9-5). Courier companies cannot give a precise time of delivery or collection so it is vital that premises are staffed during office hours. 'Economy' is with standard couriers and ultimately they do not guarantee delivery or collection on the day they state! Experience shows that this is not suitable for baptistries being delivered on a Friday.There are some areas of the UK where we no longer offer this service such as Greater Manchester, Coventry, Wellingborough & London. If a church does wish to use this service, we cannot take any responsibility for a late or non-delivery.

'Dedicated' ~ This is best where customers want to specify an exact time of delivery or where same-day or next-day delivery is required. As the driver has only to deliver your baptistry they are flexible and do use their initiative. We have found this company to provide the most worry-free deliveries. The prices vary with distance. From our base in Bradford a delivery to Manchester would cost approximately £55 each way (cheaper than 'Standard' tariff!), whereas London would cost around £190-£210.

It is possible to use these in combination: you could use a 'dedicated' courier for the delivery but the standard to return as long as the church is staffed accordingly.

A returnable bond of £75 is asked for and is returned with the safe return of the baptistry and equipment. Where time allows, customers may wish to send this as a separate cheque.
